Please invite your Husker friends who plan to join to come too. We hope to be signing up new and renewing members at the meeting. Having an annual meeting with our members is an important part of maintaining our non-profit status, so there will be a brief business portion to our meeting.
We are trying a new RSVP method. Moon Valley Grill needs a fairly accurate count to have adequate staff and food on hand to meet our needs.
Click this link to register and reserve your food ticket(s).
“Do I have to go to the meeting to sign up?”
No, you can join or renew on our website at any time. The sooner you join, the sooner you will get your membership cards. However we had to wait until the watch-site contracts and game-day schedule were finalized, wait while they get printed , then mail them out, so it will not be immediate. There is a good chance we will have our membership cards by the meeting.
“ I have paid but haven’t received anything yet, when will I get my card?”
For those who have already joined/renewed this year, we had nothing to send out because we didn’t print a directory last year and the membership cards were obsolete. We are hopeful that we will have our new membership cards by the meeting. Thanks for your patience.
Once again, this year we will be awarding a 2021 Huskers N Arizona Scholarship to deserving students. The Board of Huskers N Arizona would like to convey to you how much your loyal support is appreciated and what superb supporters of “Our Huskers” you have been. As a member, we want to share with you the opportunity to take advantage of a the scholarship program we will be offering to individuals who plan to attend either the University of Nebraska or an Arizona college or university. We are seeking individuals who are 2021 high school graduates, current college students or new or existing graduate students that would meet the criteria to earn a scholarship from Huskers N Arizona, based on their academic and financial needs.
The student, parent or grandparent must have been born in Nebraska to qualify. If someone in your immediate family (you, spouse, children or grandchildren) meets the general requirements stated above, and you or they were a current member of Huskers N Arizona as of 12/31/2020, the student should fill out our online application and submit it to Secretary@huskersnarizona.com. This application is due May 31st, 2021.
We are proud to say that last year we awarded three Scholarships: two went to our own Huskers N Arizona Scholarships and one to the University of Nebraska Alumni Association for a total of $6000.00. Our primary mission is to grant this money to individuals within the Huskers N Arizona organization. We look forward to continuing our endeavors for our Huskers N Arizona members.

Nebraska completes its abbreviated 2020 regular season this weekend, when the Huskers take on Rutgers in the Big Ten’s Champions Week matchup. The contest will be played at Rutgers’ SHI Stadium on Friday, Dec. 18, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. Central (7:30 p.m. local time). The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network….The Huskers will be facing the Scarlet Knights for the first time since 2017, and making their first trip to Piscataway since a 2015 victory. Rutgers comes into the game with a 3-5 record, following a 27-24 overtime victory at Maryland on Saturday. The Scarlet Knights are one of the nation’s most improved teams in 2020, posting three Big Ten wins after going winless in league play in 2018 and 2019.
The Matchup
Nebraska returns to Memorial Stadium to complete its regularly scheduled 2020 contests this Saturday when the Huskers play host to Big Ten West foe Minnesota. The Huskers will look to put together back-to-back wins for the first time this season on Saturday. Nebraska last won consecutive games in weeks 3 and 4 of the 2019 season when the Huskers defeated Northern Illinois and Illinois.
Minnesota will bring a 2-3 record to Lincoln and the contest will be the Gophers’ first game in 22 days. Minnesota defeated Purdue, 34-31, in Minneapolis on Nov. 20, but had its next two games canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.

The game at Purdue is part of a three-game December slate to finish the season. Following this week’s matchup, Nebraska will play host to Minnesota on Dec. 12, with a Big Ten East crossover opponent to be determined for Dec. 19.
Purdue will bring a 2-3 record into Saturday’s game after a 37-30 loss to Rutgers this past weekend. The Boilermakers have been involved in tight games throughout the season. Each of their first five contests decided by seven or fewer points, including three close losses over the past three weeks.”
From Huskers.com
"Nebraska comes into the game at 1-3 on the season, following a home setback against Illinois. The Huskers turned the ball over on their opening play from scrimmage and committed five turnovers in the loss. Nebraska continued to show a strong running attack against the Illini, rushing for 215 yards in the contest.
Iowa comes into Friday's game with a 3-2 record and riding a three-game winning streak. The Hawkeyes opened the season with close losses to Purdue and Northwestern, but have been dominant over the past three weeks, defeating Michigan State, Minnesota and Penn State, with two of those wins on the road."
Come join us at Connolly’s as we encourage our Huskers to bounce back after last week’s setback. Also, if you feel safer outside, there is outdoor seating at Connolly’s.
Note: it’s a change from the original schedule and your punch cards – Friday, not Saturday.
