Continue reading →At the Huskers last home game, a late-game score pushed Wisconsin to a 15-14 victory over Nebraska, after the Badgers punched in a one-yard rushing touchdown with 35 seconds left. It was the third score of the half for Wisconsin who scored all 15 points in the 2nd half after being shutout in the first half. It hurts to lose again, especially by only 1 point! Again last week our Huskers got off to a great start scoring a field goal on their first drive and holding the Wolverines to 17 points in the first half. The Husker defense held them off until late in the 4th quarter when they scored two more touchdowns to win the game 31-3. Wisconsin comes into Memorial Stadium with a 2-5 record in conference play. Again last week our Huskers got off to a great start. scoring on their first two drives and holding the Gophers scoreless in the first half to take a 10-0 lead at halftime. However, the Gophers scored 20 unanswered points in the second half, plus squelched the Huskers’ late drive to tie the game, and held on to win 20-13. Last week our Huskers got off to a great start and had a 9-6 lead going into halftime. But starting quarterback Casey Thompson took a hard hit in the 2nd quarter that prevented him from returning for the remainder of the game!
